Who are we?
We are a married couple who decided with Covid-19 and being home so much, we needed something to do with all our free time. So just out of fun, we began making candles and other home decor projects. This is something we enjoyed so much that we decided we would like to share it with others.
How are you creating your items?
All our items are handmade. The candles are made with gel or 100% soy wax/gel wax and they are all hand poured. All candles come highly scented. The home decor is still in the testing phase and pieces will not be available for a few more months.
Is there any testing done before the candles are sold?
Yes! We test the candles before they go into production. Although, like any other thing in life, there is small percentage of error. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, contact us within 7 days of your purchase and we will help you.
What kind of candles do you offer?
We offer melts/tarts, vessel, and candles the resemble food. What we have in stock will be different from day-to-day. We also can make candles for special events and holidays. if you don't see what you are looking for, feel free to contact us and let us know what you are looking.
Do you sell melt warmers?
Yes! We can get melt warmers for you if you would like to add one to your order. Look at the shop page to see what we can get.
Do you offer shipping?
Absolutely! We can ship, deliver, and allow pickup. To have your item ship, it typically is $10 no matter the weight. Delivery must be within a 20 mile radius of zip code 45406 and there is a $10 delivery fee. Pickup is also another option that must be scheduled.
Where are you located?
We are located in Dayton, Ohio and working from our home. We are looking to expand into a store front by the Fall of 2022. This has been postponed due to covid. We are unsure at this time of a actual store front date or location.
I have been interested in making my own candles. Can Candles and Home Decor help me get started?
Absolutely!! Candle making is much harder than anyone realizes. Being in that situation of wanting to start and doing many hours of research and spending lots of money that was not necessary, we are offering a service to help anyone get started. It will be listed under our services.
What is your refund policy?
There is no refund on any type of specialized candles or home decor. If it is personalized, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. As long as it is not personalized we offer a 7 day return. If something happens to the item during shipping, please email or call us as soon as possible and we will work on making it right within the first 7 days. There may be a small fee associated with restocking the item. The buyer is also responsible for any return fees associated with returning any item to us.
Is there anything else I should know before purchasing a candle?
Yes! Please keep out of reach of child(ren) and pets. Do not eat the candle. Some resemble food and we take no responsibility for ingesting the product. Never leave a burning candle unsupervised. Keep away from drafts or curtains. Remember, you are dealing with a flame and a object that get extremally hot. We are not responsible for any misuse of our products. Please follow all guidelines that are shipped and purchased with your product.
